I particularly liked reading the Quartermaster’s “heretical” confidences to the chronicler who pushed such thoughts away and insisted on describing the sei Kadare has depicted a subtle commentary on politics and war through a fictionalised period in history. Kadare has depicted a subtle commentary on politics and war through a fictionalised period in history. Research and publish the best content. But it’s to Kadare’s immense credit that the story remains gripping while conveying its densely layered message.
